The mazdaspeed3 makes all of its power all of the time and a simple intake and retune puts it right under 300whp and close to 350ftlbs torque. And with manly arms you can easily put the torque steer issue aside and get to wasting v8's left and right.

Fordhas some build quality issues, but the 2.0 Ecoboost is a very solid engine. Ford uses it/variants of it in most of their lineup. There are two primary issues with boosted engines: knock and pre-ignition. Ford utilizes very robust ECU logic to make on-the-fly adjustments which negates knock extremely well.

I have a Steeda CAI, FS Werks Stealth exhaust, the electric Focus rear motor mount (Electric Focus has a better RMM), and a 91 octane DCT/Engine tune from Injected Engineering. Iknow it has more moving pieces then the es so I was curious about its reliability. Consumer Reports reports the GS350 as the most reliable Lexus model. I've had 6 GS models in the past 16 years - 02,04,08,13,16,20. I've never had a single problem with any one of them. They're absolutely bulletproof.
